Just as I prepared my employer for my resignation by closing out outstanding action items, my mom presented a list of action items. My limited experience in tech support and complicated online returns were put to good use by my her! Most tasks were never difficult, just untimely and always at the climax of a Flash or Arrow episode. In hindsight, I count each request as an opportunity to support my mom.  

My mom has become one of my best friends. We have a good time together and I can share everything with her. She has made adulting so much easier. She gives me space to make my own decisions and does not impose her views on me. Although, with my upcoming departure, she has expressed her discomfort with me leaving. She’s said, “why so far” and “I need to be able to get to you”. I don’t think I’ll ever understand how much she loves me. Her love is unending and could fill ten football stadiums.
