With only three days left before my departure to Zambia, I decided to sit down and write letters to my close friends. My penmanship is awful, so I typed each letter and placed stamps on each envelope. I thought that it would be a sweet surprise to receive a letter via USPS from me, because who writes letters anymore? More importantly, I wanted each of my friends to know how special they are to me, and thank them for being supportive when I needed them most. This was also a helpful pre-departure activity to confirm mailing addresses, as I plan to write letters while abroad.
