Faithful readers.

Sorry for two months of silence. The country experienced a cholera outbreak. As a result, the government proactively delayed the opening of schools until the risk was minimized. Eventually, after five weeks, schools opened! Also, during the two months, I traveled to the capitol to welcome a new cohort of Peace Corps (PC) volunteers and attended a Guidance and Counseling Teacher workshop. In short, I did not have any updates to share.

Thank you for your comments and commitment to reading this blog. Your interest in reading helped me stay present during this PC service. Knowing that someone was expecting an update on a project or a perspective I gained from a challenge, motivated me to experience each day with a new hope to learn and gain new insights.

You may be wondering, what is next Jess? I do not have an answer for you. Currently, I am celebrating the accomplishments I have made over the last 12 months, appreciating the new friendships I gained, nurturing new love, and enjoying each day of Zambia before my departure. As I receive more clarity I will share and bring you along for the new adventure.

If you are interested in reading about the work, we accomplished in a single comprehensive document you can read my End of Service Report.
