Welcome!

My name is Jess, and this is my small corner of the internet where I share short reflections of my life while living abroad. This blog is a continuation of my original blog created in 2023 to share my Peace Corps Response experience with friends and family. I completed my service March 2024 and decided to extend my stay in Zambia, for a bit. Much to my surprise I enjoyed blogging and decided to document this next chapter of my life. The idea of jess•make•room was a statement I made to myself, “Jessica, make room for all the things you want to experience in life”. I made a promise to myself to do just that. Since then, I started a blog, I volunteered with Peace Corps (again), I live and work in Tanzania and recently launched a small fundraiser to send my five Zambian students to college by January 2025.
